Blue flags on the southern Costa Blanca

The urbanizations of Cabo Roig, La Zenia or Campoamor known for their magnificent villas or their fantastic towhouses have been added one more incentive, all their beaches have a year with their blue flag.

But what does it mean to have a blue flag?

The Blue Flag is an award granted since 1987 by the European Foundation for Environmental Education

The criteria that a beach with the Blue Flag must meet are divided into four major blocks: Information and Environmental Education Water Quality, Environmental Management Safety and Services

One more year, the town with the most blue flags in the whole Costa Blanca is Orihuela Costa, which has 11 badges that certify the quality of its beaches,

In this way Orihuela Costa maintains this distinction on the beaches of Punta Prima, Cala Bosque (La Zenia), La Caleta in Cabo Roig, Cala Capitán also Cabo Roig, Aguamarina, Campoamor, Rubio Ravine, Cala Estaca, Cala Mosca, Cala Cerrada, Thousand Palms

Very close to Orihuela Costa, also the beaches of Torrevieja that have been recognized with the Blue Flag of Cabo Cervera, El Cura, Los Náufragos, Cala Piteras and los Locos.
